APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF 2011 AGM

Approved.

CHAIRMAN: ACTIONS?

Thanks to all the committee members for all their efforts over the last year. Thanks also for the good attendance at committee meetings. The CKA was formed in spring 2003 so will be 20 years old next year, before the next AGM. I think it would be a good idea to hold a CKA 20th birthday tournament next summer, 2013.

SECRETARY (vacant):

TREASURER:

Accounts attached. They are currently be audited, so will show the signed off accounts when done, which might be a few days.

I've reviewed the division 3 games, and shown the clubs which have paid for the 1 extra hall hire.

I'm thinking we just share the costs and charge/receive a average £20 to level it out, unless someone has an issue with that. Thought it a bit easier then trying to find exact hall hire costs.

If that's ok, will net off with the CKA Fees for 2012/2013.

I've contacted Norwich Knights to receive payment for the Champions Trophy, they have acknowledged, just awaiting cheque.

There will still be an amount to pay for the Juniors, but Liv has that all in hand.

With that to go out, and Champions Trophy to come in, we are basically zero cost for the year. The only cost we really paid out this year was the Inter area.

FIXTURES:

Nothing to report.

RESULTS:

Nothing to report.

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT:

See attached.

The CKA have tendered to host National Youth Day again in 2013.

REFEREEING:

Vikings and Tigers need more referees – short of volunteers. Uni hope to have two referees sometime during next term.

COACHING (vacant):

PUBLICITY:

CPO:

This year there have been changes to the Child Protection procedures from the EKA which we are still trying to work through. Each club has tried to come to terms with the changes with Martin at Vikings testing the new procedures and trying to get answers from the EKA to clarify their position. As a result of these changes we need to look at the policy of the CKA and individual clubs may need to look at their club policies. All have worked hard to ensure children and teenagers are trained in safe environments.

There have been no child protection issues to report this year.

3. REVIEW OF THE AREA DEVELOPMENT PLAN

No substantive changes were made to the Area Development Plan.

4. 2012/13 REGIONAL LEGAUE

The CKA agreed to form a regional league with the Kent Korfball Association (KKA) , Norfolk Korfball Association (NKA) and the South Midlands Korfball Association (SMKA) again for the 20012/13 season.

5. BUDGET AND LEAGUE ENTRY FEES

See attached accounts. The juniors budget will be increased to £760, which includes a 'one off' £460 profit from hosting National Youth Day. Uni would like assistance with purchasing some posts, so that they can look at using a cheaper hall in the short term and move to the new University Sports Hall – being built - longer term. The CKA will purchase two collapsible competition posts, about £350 each, and loan these to Uni, with the proviso that they are properly stored. Uni can then purchase them at a later date when they have funds. League fees will remain the same as last season.

6. CHANGE TO THE CAMBRIDGESHIRE KORFBALL LEAGUE (CKL) RULES

1.1.1 Once a match has been scheduled with the agreement of both clubs postponement of a fixture will only be allowed in exceptional circumstances e.g. unavailability of the hall. An inability to field a full strength team will not be considered to be a valid reason[, other than due to international commitments under the circumstances specified in 1.1.1.1 and 1.1.1.2].

[1.1.1.1 Any first team with two players involved in international matches or tournaments in the capacity of player, referee or other recognized official on the same day as a scheduled fixture is entitled to apply to have their team’s fixture postponed providing that at least 28 days notice is given. This also applies if the international match or tournament is abroad, to allow for reasonable travel time to or from Cambridgeshire.

1.1.1.2 For avoidance of doubt, the term “international matches or tournaments” applies to junior and senior events, and to matches involving any country; attendance at international training is not considered a valid reason to request postponement; second and lower teams are not entitled to apply to have their team’s fixtures postponed.]

7. CHANGE TO THE CAMBRIDGESHIRE KORFBALL CKL RULES

{2.1.5 All referees must have applied for a CRB check via the EKA i.e. their CRB check application must have been signed off by the CKA local signatory. If the referee provided by the club allocated the fixture has not applied for a CRB check via the EKA then the club will be fined £10. This rule will be effective from 1st January 2009.}

8. CLARIFICATION OF THE CKL RULES

3.2.1 At the end of the season, {the} all division champions (excluding Division 1) will be promoted [in the team rankings] and all the teams placed bottom of divisions (excluding the lowest division) will be relegated [in the team rankings].
