REPORTS

CHAIRPERSON:

Thanks to all the committee members for all their efforts since the last AGM and for attending the meetings.

SECRETARY:

No report

TREASURER:

This year finished with £3775.92 bank balance. Owed £30 from Wisbech GS and a figure from Tornadoes KC. Most money coming in is from junior tournaments.

FIXTURES:

No report

RESULTS:

Everything went smoothly, thanks to the refs for getting results in promptly. There was one rearranged game where the referee wasn’t told – would be helpful to tell the Results Officer when that happens. No progress made on the results system.

SENIOR DEVELOPMENT (vacant):

No report.

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT:

Report received from Liv as follows.

For last year we did the following:

  • Ran an U14 NL with local teams, MK and Tornadoes - thanks to local refs for supporting where they could.

  • Attended a schools PE conference to workshop korfball (Simon and Phil)

  • Went into two schools (Liv and Phil at Coton and Bassingbourn) to take some taster sessions (off the back of the above). Bassingbourn have now bought their own posts. Coton would like to but don't have the budget.
Cambs coaches organised inter club games at Hills Rd on a regular basis

  • Ran U17/19 academy and U13 academy

  • Inter area

  • Reached out to establish relationships with several schools (as part of my search for a location for Tigers). Conversations ongoing

  • Reached out to the lead for sport in schools (who is very difficult to pin down). Discussions planned for getting a programme of korfball into more schools

  • Developed up-to-date lesson plans (with two teachers from my club) and a cheat sheet for teachers with simplified rules and drills.

  • Plus there is plenty of outreach activity going on at club level at various events

REFEREEING:

No report.
