1. CHANGE TO THE CKL RULES

Option 1
4.1.2.2 Player restrictions for the first status period of the season are based upon the last
[6]{5} matches of the previous season.

4.1.2.3 Player status is calculated over the last [6]{5} 1st and 2nd team matches. This may mean some matches are included in more than one status period.

Option 2
4.1.2.2 Player restrictions for the first status period of the season are based upon
[the last] {all the matches in the last status period} of the previous season.
4.1.2.3 Player status is calculated over
{all} the [last 6] 1st and 2nd team matches in the previous status period. [This may mean some matches are included in more than one status period.]

Changes common to both option 1 and 2

4.1.2.5 [Each player is considered to have played in half a match if they were on the pitch for half or more of the match, but less than the whole match. A player substituted on in the first half and then substituted off in the second half will have to include that half match in their status profile. A player substituted off before the end of the first half or substituted on after the start of the second half will not have to include that match in their status profile.]
{A player is given 2 status points for every quarter of a first

team match played, and 1 status point for every quarter of a second team match played. Therefore a player can get a maximum of 8 status points for playing a full first team match, or a maximum of 4 status points for playing a full second team match.}

For table see below.

4.1.2.6 The number of 1st and 2nd team [matches played] {status points earned} by each player are counted.

4.1.2.7 [If the player has played more than 4 or more 1st team matches then that player will have ‘1st team’ status.]
{The three male players and three female players from each club with the highest total of 1st team status points will have 1st team status. The next 3 male players and 3 female players from each club, with the highest total of 1st team and 2nd team status points will have 2nd team status.}

4.1.2.8 [If the player has played less than 4 1st team matches, but 5 or more first and second team matches (added together) then that player will have ‘2nd team’ status.]
{Where two or more players are tied on the same number of status points, the club must decide which of the tied player(s) will have which team status. The club must choose and inform the results officer before their next match or within 2 weeks, whichever is sooner. This choice will be final. If a team does not choose within the time limit the the following 3 CKA Officers : Fixtures Officer, Results Officer and Chair (the 'league sub-committee') will agree upon a choice for the club.}
