Sam to send email to clubs to clarify what clubs need to do with regard to
CP procedures - still to do.

Sam/Howard to find solution to BKA signatory on CRB checks - still to do.

Another 'Korfball Kidz' session is being organised for April or May at Littleport.

A risk assessment for this should be done. Howard to send email about this to organisers.

Howard

REFEREEING:

Adam has passed theory. George Ok to ref for Uni, though Uni's two final commitments he is away. Adam aware.

COACHING:

Nothing to report.

PUBLICITY:

Nothing to report.

CPO:

Risk assessments received for Kelsey Kerridge from City and Uni and for CRC from Phoenix. Risk assessments for Littleport from Lions, for the Perse needed from Tigers and for Ely Community College from Vikings. CKA received a complaint, potentially a CP issue, from Vikings. It was investigated and statements obtained from those involved. It was not a CP issue. There was no clear and corroborated evidence of upon which the CKA could act. The CKA has taken steps to prevent an incident occurring in future.

Should have a risk assessment for Korfball as a sport. Antony said one has already been done. Antony to find it.

SENIOR DEVELOPMENT:

Nothing to report

1. EA LEAGUE

The NKA EA League proposal was discussed.

Suggested modifications :-

Maximum 2 'NL players' allowed per team.

'NL Players' – list of 6 guys and 6 girls who've played the most NL matches in a period.

Tigers would like to be able to enter a team. Could associations decide which of their clubs can enter a team or not ?

Sunday is the preferred day for matches.

Home area, neutral referees.

Would like to see the EA Cup run successfully first to gauge the level of competition and test commitment.

Who's going to organise and run it ? Who's going to draft the rules ? How will it be funded ?

2 CKA clubs would enter teams with above conditions, other 4 clubs maybe.

Howard to email NKA with feedback.

Howard

2. EA CUP

The NKA EA Cup proposal was discussed.

Suggested modifications :-

All clubs allowed to enter.

Only 1 team per club.

Maximum 4 'NL players' allowed per team, to even up competition

'NL Players' – list of 6 guys and 6 girls who've played the most NL matches in a period – e.g. Previous season

Organisation to be alternated each year between NKA and CKA.

Either 1 day outdoor tournament or 3 day indoor (1 court) tournament spread over 2 weekends - 2 pools on consecutive days, final the weekend after. What's NKA's preference ?

Howard to email NKA with feedback.

3. CKA LEAGUE END OF SEASON PRESENTATION EVENING

Support for the idea. The last one was successful and well attended.

Sara, Nicola and Antony volunteered to organise it and come up with a proposal for the next meeting.

Sara, Nicola and Antony

4. BIRMINGHAM MINI-TOURNAMENT

Birmingham's mini-tournament invitation was discussed.

Birmingham to decide who to invite, then up to individual clubs if they wish o attend.

Want to see how the first mini-tournament event goes before considering future events.

Antony to email Birmingham.

Antony

5. CKA SUMMER TOURNAMENT

Poor attendance at recent CKA Summer tournaments have meant they have just broken even.

Lions suggested their planned tournament could be a Lions/CKA one.

CKA will allow Lions to use CKA name for publicity. CKA will only endorse 1 tournament each year and will extend the offer to all CKA clubs, with priority given to clubs who've not had their tournaments endorsed or who's last endorsed tournament was least recent.

6 CLUB REGISTRATIONS

Reda suggested that it would be useful to referees to be able to identify junior players, for whom underage player request forms are presented. Some players have BKA registration cards with their name and photo, although not all players seem to have them.

For next season clubs must attach identification photos to all underage player request forms. Sam to check if this is OK form a CP perspective.

Sam

AOB:

Reda raised an issue with safety at Chesterton, which is used by City. He suggested referees should ensure spectators should be at end lines, not sidelines, as the latter are close to the wall or on the spectators balcony. Read to email Andy.

Nick Evans presented an Underage Player Request form for Rebecca Tomkins on behalf of Vikings, which was approved.
