'Currently they are not being as actively used however come the summer we do start to use them more. Therefore I'm not sure what you would think or would like to do if you would need them back as they could be more actively used elsewhere. We would quite understand as we have had use from them for along time.'

SECRETARY:

Nothing to report.

TREASURER:

Accounts attached. Nothing to report.

RESULTS:

Fixtures and results web back end code has been ported to a new platform. The next stage is to set it up so that it is live on the CKA server (currently the code runs on a separate machine and I generate the HTML pages to copy onto the CKA server). One benefit of a live site will be that scorecard entry can be improved, feed directly into the database and, once the scorecard has been approved, be reflected immediately in the results. If you have any comments or suggestions for improvements or additions please let me know.

SENIOR DEVELOPMENT (Vacant):

(Martn) What's happening with Colchester, who the CKA loaned posts to, but joined the NKL. Howard to email them.

Howard

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT:

- U14 academy - Coach Chris West. Admin - Debbie Howes. Going really well. All children in the U14 age bracket encouraged to come.

- U16/U19 squad training - Coach Lia Matthews. Admin - Debbie Howes. Slow start with low numbers. 1 from City and 3 from Tigers for both sessions (in total there have been 5 different Tigers and 1 City player). Please can I ask for more support from all clubs to encourage their younger players to be part of this. As a reminder, we will be using these sessions to help select area sides for area competitions. We have an excellent coach with a wealth of international and premier league experience behind her. This is a chance for youngsters to get intensive training with players of their own age. I would remind clubs that youngsters need A LOT of reminding and encouragement. Please do everything you can to make this work and make Cambridgeshire a stronger squad. If anyone would be interested in assisting either session on a regular basis, please get in touch.

- Future dates (all at Hills Road 2-3.30pm U14 - 3.30-5pm U16/19):

Sat 30th Nov

Sat 11th Jan.

- U14 National League

Starting on 15th December at CRC. Should cover its own costs. Please see attached document for details,

I need referees for this event - as a matter of urgency, please could you provide volunteer referees to make this happen. We cannot expect travelling teams to provide referees because they will be coaching.

- Schools Tournament

Gareth Williams (Tigers) has organised a schools tournament for his U11 team (Milton Road) v St Matthews and Queen Ediths. Future ones with Kings College School as well will take place.

- CKA Junior Tournament - 19th October. Well attended with 8 U9 teams, 4 U11 teams and 2 U13 teams.

2. 50TH MILTON BEAVER SCOUTS

Therea/Billy (the Beaver) has requested help:

'I am the leader of 50th Milton beaver scouts [boys aged 6-8 years], and was wondering if you would come to Milton Community Centre Annexe between 6.30 and 7.15pm on a Monday night [term time only] to teach the boys how to play. The activity would go towards a criteria of their Fitness challenge badge.'
