1. UNI REFEREEING

The following plan and targets up until the end of 2015 was agreed with Uni:

- 4 people having passed the theory test by 15th November

- 5 people to attend an introduction to refereeing course in Cambridge, during full term, by the end of the year.

- 1 person to be practically assessed by the end of the year, but not necessarily approved.

Uni had 7 people pass the theory test (out of 7 people taking it).

Uni had more than 5 people at the introduction to refereeing course.

Ed Holt has been practically assessed and approved for division 3.

Consequently Uni met/exceeded all the targets.

Uni hope to get Jade Doughty practically assessed as she is the next most experienced after Ed. They would also look to work towards Ed qualifying to division 2 status which would make meeting commitments easier. Ed will be here next season which is good. They would look also to hopefully get someone else assessed that will still be here (i.e. potentially Liam Woodcock or Olly Bell) next season to help with commitments. Assessment of those here next season should take priority. It was questioned whether Olly would need practical assessment as he has a lot of experience, but it was confirmed that assessment is needed. Another player, Joe Pengelly, mentioned to Howard that he was a qualified ref. Dan to investigate if this is the case as this would be useful for this season.

It was suggested it might be possible that Uni’s coach, Josh Rowe, who plays in Norwich, would be suitably qualified to conduct assessments for Uni refs (if he was willing to). This would be a matter for Adam’s consideration.

The aim for next year would be to continue on a rolling basis with getting people to the course and also theory tested - with hopefully at least one or two passing practicals in time to help out. Jade and Joe will not be here next year but 3 of the 7 who have passed the theory test will be.

Uni still have 3 refereeing commitments this season which need to be swapped as they are out of term time.

2. MATCH VENUE FIRST AID

http://www.cambskorfball.co.uk/cka_league_rules.htm

5.4 Safety

5.4.1 All teams must have access to a first aid kit for their home matches.

Some venues have receptions that provide first aid e.g. CRC, Hills Road, Kelsey Kerridge, Littleport and the University Sports Centre.

It was confirmed that Vikings have a kit bag on site at Ely Community College including first aid kit and Impington Village College has first aid at reception. Still unclear if there is always an accessible first aid kit the Perse, need clarification from Tigers on this.

Tigers

3. NATIONAL LEAGUE (PREMIER AND PROMO DIVISIONS) AREA ENDORSEMENTS FOR SEASON 2016/17

City, Uni and Vikings have confirmed they 'have input all of their teams’ results and stats on FixturesLive and have fully registered all of their players'

Phoenix have confirmed they've done their SERL results, but still need positive confirmation of CKL results and registering players.

Tigers have said they're seeking endorsement and are entering results and registering players.

I've not heard anything from Lions - Howard to email them again.

Mark will rerun and check the unregistered players report to make sure everything is up to date before Howard responds to EKA about this.

It was confirmed that City are not seeking endorsement. No objections were raised for the endorsement of Tigers so Howard will respond to the EKA to endorse them.

4. ENGLAND KORFBALL INSPIRED ACCREDITATION

(Ellen Pearce, Phoenix) What are other clubs doing?

Phoenix are seeking accreditation under the England Korfball Inspired scheme and wondered if any other teams are working towards this, and if so if there was any desire to share experiences and ideas. None of the clubs who were represented at the meeting are currently pursuing accreditation, if any others are and would like to discuss this, please contact Ellen.
