FIXTURES:

No report.

RESULTS:

Nothing to report.

SENIOR DEVELOPMENT (vacant):

No report.

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT:

Number of young players in lower age groups lower this season than last season – e.g. hard to get U9 tournaments going, U11 tournaments happening but numbers low e.g. 3.5-4 teams

Only 4 teams in U14 NL – a lot smaller than has been – partly due to more activity in London area which means less reason to travel to Cambridge.

Liv is running Year 6 & 7 Academy – low numbers but players enjoying.

U17/19 Academy well attended (mainly Vikings and City)

U15 is now a regional academy being run mostly by Norwich KA – good engagement from Vikings and Tigers players especially.

EK tournament in Flanders – majority of players in the U15 and 2 x U17 squads were from Cambridgeshire

Sense that lower numbers of juniors at younger age groups is not isolated to Cambridgeshire – seeing in other regions too

REFEREEING:

No report.

COACHING (Vacant):

No report.

PUBLICITY:

No report.

WELFARE AND CHILD PROTECTION:

Nothing to report.

1. UNIVERSITY REFEREEING COMMITMENTS

Uni have been trying to get referees – 20 people who are interested to do the course and have several looking to get qualified, many of whom will be around next season. Subsequent information from Chris W that he is waiting for Uni to give him dates.

Players at other clubs (City, Tigers) mentioned who could be practically assessed soon.

Subsequent information from Chris W that he was asked to assess Aaron Au (City) and has done so. Anyone else needing assessment just needs to get in touch with him. Any referee rated R or above can assess referees to EK Level Q, so e.g. Gary Cole or Andy Rutter.

NEXT MEETING

Sometime in January / February.
