So what does this all mean?
National League
A disappointing 2nd half to the season has seen Cambridge slip from 3rd place at Christmas (and a possible chance of promotion) to 5th place and absolutely no chance of promotion. Having lost Jam, Sam and Lia before the start of the season, Liv being out for most of the season, Billy having left Cambridge at Xmas and Francis out injured for 4 games after Christmas, we've actually done quite well to be where we are with the players that have stepped up to the challenge. But of course, we are disappointed and hope to improve on things next season.
CKA Cup
City 1 have made it to the final and are waiting to see who they will play.
It will be either Tigers 1 or Phoenix 1 who play next Wednesday.
CKA Plate
Phoenix 2 beat Tigers 4 to book their place in the Plate Final. They are waiting on the result of the Phoenix 3 v Uni 2 game to see who they play. It could be an all Phoenix Plate Final!!!
Division One
Tigers 1 have won Division One (for the 3rd year running) by virtue of beating Uni 1 17-3 last night. Kites 1 have 2 matches still to play but cannot now catch Tigers 1. At the bottom, Tigers 2 need to beat City 1 on Tue 23rd March in order to avoid relegation. If Tigers 2 win, Uni 1 will be in bottom place on goal difference.
Division Two
Phoenix 2 and Lions 1 continue to fight for the promotion spot. It's all set up nicely for Thu 25th March when both sides play each other. Winner takes all!! At the bottom, it couldn't get any closer with Phoenix 3 and Uni 2 level on points and level on Goal Difference. Phoenix 3 are above them by having scored more goals this season. These two played on Tuesday night and I don't know the result!!! Uni 2 required a win to avoid relegation.
Division Three
Lions 2 are in the driving seat here being 2 points clear of City 2 and Tigers 4 but there are still 3 games left and it could all change hands.
